[BA] Painting with minor in Psychology

My paintings are process-driven, and I use a variety of materials to make transparent layers that create an illusion of space and depth on a flat surface. Working quickly, I have to follow the lead of my materials. The ink dances around at its own will, and I find this process both active and reactive as I try to control the still-fluid materials. The color scheme could change at any turn. I enjoy the exciting challenge in the way I work: I can’t go back and fix things; I can only build on what’s already there. I start with almost no idea of where my tools and materials will take me and, by the end, I’ve been led to something that’s so much more than what I would have imagined.
