REACH Suicide Prevention
I don’t want to be here anymore. The world would be better without me. I want to die.
When someone tells you one of these statements, what are you supposed to do?
REACH.
80% of people tell someone before completing suicide. 90% of people show clear warning signs. Every one of us can prevent suicide, if we have compassion and the knowledge of how to act. UNL’s suicide prevention program, REACH is an important part of keeping our university culture safe and supportive. Ninety-minute REACH trainings have been administered to a large portion of campus to promote a campus culture of caring. In this exhibition I turned the ninety-minute presentation into an interactive, engaging experience. By using bright colors, supportive imagery, and an interactive display I hope to spread the knowledge of suicide prevention on campus. Everyone has the power to save a life.
