Environmental Monsters is a collection of five artworks revolving around human created environmental factors that are actively harming the environment around us put into the form of monsters roaming the very landscapes that they are causing harm to.
Deforestation, Melting Ice Caps, Fresh Water pollution, Salt Water pollution, and the Burning of Fossil Fuels are the names of the artworks and are the very topics that the monsters represent.
Inspiration for my capstone stems from my love for the United States National park service, the very beautiful landscapes they take care of and the iconic poster style that captures these cherished places. Using the park posters as my inspiration, I mixed my own style alongside the National park poster style to create my posters and scenes of monsters alongside far away views of nature.
