Automobiles have always held a special place in my heart as far as I can remember. Through the many changes and phases of interest I’ve had over the years, performance cars are something that has always stuck in my mind. Aside from the speed and sounds, there is something that fascinates me about how different companies have different approaches to automotive engineering and design. After lots of research about car design and why modern cars are the way they are, it inspired me to create my own vision of what a concept performance car could look like twenty-five years from now. The model was made in Cinema 4D, a software used to make 3D content that has huge capabilities. I have about six months of experience now and it’s challenging, but I’ve learned so much along the way. This medium allowed me to explore graphic design in different ways I never thought were possible.
The Astra by AS1 concept was designed for the year 2050, with maximum efficiency and performance in mind. As the automotive industry transitions toward fully electric platforms, vehicles are becoming more streamlined, technologically integrated, and focused on long-term efficiency. Designed to represent the next evolution of high-speed vehicles, it showcases how future performance can be achieved through streamlined form, advanced engineering, and purposeful design that delivers a strong visual impact. This concept reflects a future where cars are engineered to excite the senses as much as they excel in performance, combining cutting-edge technology with purposeful design to capture imagination while shaping the future of performance.
