The modern bridal industry often prioritizes fast-paced, transactional shopping experiences over emotional connection, leaving many brides feeling rushed, uncertain, or overlooked. This disconnect is especially apparent for those who value meaning, tradition, and intentionality during one of the most significant moments of their lives. In fact, nearly half of brides in the United States report feeling overwhelmed during the dress shopping process; a reality that became especially clear through the experience of my best friend, a 2026 bride, navigating these same challenges.
Blum Bridal proposes a reimagined boutique experience centered on romance, heirloom quality, and personalized service. Rather than functioning solely as a retail space, Blum Bridal positions itself as an emotionally guided experience that honors each bride’s story. Central to this approach is a Bridal Style quiz, a pre-appointment touchpoint designed to bring clarity and confidence before a bride ever steps into the store. By helping brides better understand their preferences through a visually driven and intuitive process, the experience begins with intention rather than uncertainty.
Through branding, visual identity, spatial design, and intentional touchpoints, this project explores how design can transform bridal shopping into a more thoughtful, personal, and memorable experience.
