A study on the balance and benefits of childhood concepts reintroduced into adulthood.
The concept of “play” is often correlated to childish and immature qualities. However, research shows that the action of play can be beneficial in an adult setting by better supporting your source of creativity, building curiosity, supporting growth as an adult, strengthening care, empathy and overall happiness.
Those benefits have been found to be easily achievable through small actions in changing your mindset, borrowing your memories, knowing your type of play and utilizing micromoments of play in your everyday life.
The loss of “play” and moments of “childishness” in your adult life is a common sentiment that resonates with people who are stepping away from their childhood.
In this project, you’re encouraged to reflect on the benefits of “play” through the scientific and emotional displays of research and personal testimonies. You will be prompted to think about the benefits that “play” is able to introduce into an individual’s life and the small areas that you might be overlooking for your own reintroduction.
Take a moment to rediscover a life with play, reintroduce it back into your life and watch its benefits bloom. If you’re stuck in where to start, pull a card from the machine or take the online play quiz to discover your play personality and the best-suited type of play for you!
