TidBit
Interactive App and Character
In today’s information environment, people’s time is increasingly fragmented. Much of our reading now happens in transit, while waiting in line, or during brief pauses between tasks. At the same time, the total volume of content continues to grow at an overwhelming pace, with countless pieces of information competing for the same limited attention. As a result, even deciding what to engage with has become a burden in itself.
Although many contemporary media forms have responded by presenting information in shorter, more simplified, and more fragmented ways, this does not actually reduce the pressure of information overload. Instead, it often intensifies it. Users are confronted not only with an endless stream of content, but also with the constant need to judge, compare, and choose. Browsing becomes a repetitive cycle of evaluation and decision-making, leaving little room for discovery to feel relaxed, playful, or unexpected.
Tidbit proposes a different browsing experience. It is a minimalist app centered around a single button, where each click reveals one random fun fact. By removing the demand to choose, the project shifts browsing from an act of decision-making to an act of curiosity. In this structure, exploration becomes lighter, more casual, and more serendipitous—less like a task to be completed, and more like a moment of spontaneous encounter.
Therefore, Tidbit is designed to distinguish itself from existing forms of media. To express this difference more clearly, the project extends beyond the app into a broader brand system, presenting Tidbit as a complete design experience rather than just a standalone digital product.
