Zoelynne Engel

Zoelynne Engel is a figurative oil painter from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Her work explores internal conflict, feminine rage, and the intersection of self-rejection and self-acceptance. Inspired by lycanthropic transformation, imagery from motion pictures, and visuals from her own vivid dreams, she portrays the complex tension between the grotesque and the erotic aspects of the feminine existence.
