Emily Zimmerman

Emily Zimmerman is a third year Sculpture major and Film minor, who implements themes of performance, gaze, and memory into her artwork. She takes interest in creating works with spectacle, often introducing video and motion into otherwise static pieces. Her work takes a look into the idea that we are always performing for the gaze and approval of others (subconsciously or otherwise), but that the illusion disappears when that fourth wall breaks.
