I like to learn, and work with, many different mediums. Every mediums process is very different, so learning many keeps me on my toes and helps with creative burnout. My favorite is oil paint, I like the consistency and the slow dry time so I have more time to work with it on and off the canvas. I also enjoy collage, and more recently, intaglio printing.
A lot of my inspiration comes from my family and nature. Whenever I am looking for reference images for a piece they always come from my camera roll. I am a family oriented person and I enjoy landscapes and plants, I like creating pieces that depict things I love. Recently, I have taken inspiration from the artist Fairfield Porter; I admire his use of color and the style of his oil paintings.
I have been creative for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I would always come up with games to play with my sisters and friends, I was constantly rearranging my room, and art supplies was always on my Christmas list. I started doing art in elementary school. Art was my favorite class and I continued all throughout middle and high school. I am currently going to the University of Lincoln for a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a focus in graphic design. My goal is to become an art director for advertising while doing traditional art on the side. Other than art, I like cooking/baking, botany, hanging out with friends and family, trying new coffee shops, and shopping.
