Behind the Lens
In order to capture the need for the New Deal, the government employed photographers to capture and document the suffering of those affected by the Great Depression. Because of these photographers and their efforts, they produced some of the most iconic photographs of this time, and of American History. Behind the Lens was created in order for people of all ages to visit and see the works of these photographers and learn the history behind these photographs. This site was also created in hope that it could be used as a resource in order to prevent another depression.
