As various demographics accumulate wealth, their spending habits drive the creation of fresh narratives, leading to a dynamic between economic power and diversity with content representation.
Through this project, I wanted to explore the relationship between audiences and the content of the consumer, particularly through film and TV shows, and how it reflects their identity. Everyone’s identities intersect in different ways and through the media they consume, it is interesting to see if it intersects with themselves. This also comes into play with an interactive activity that leads viewers to reflect on this sentiment. The rest of the project has aspects of the current representation of the film and TV shows currently and provides an interesting perspective of what populations are represented.
