Wanyu Luo
[BFA] Drawing
I create animations, comics and illustrations about ancient Chinese myths. Some of these myths have been handed down through adaptation and recording. I have been influenced by cartoons and illustrations since childhood, and I want to combine them with Chinese elements to create paintings belonging to the new era. Most of my inspiration comes from ancient scriptures, and I believe that the most original sources are the best to restore mythological stories and mythological characters. There have been countless adaptations, and some of the original stories are not the same as modern versions, but I want to record them and add my own perspective. The stories I create are a collision of ancient and modern values, perpetuating the artistic elements of ancient China in a new way.
