Lincoln Parks and Recreation
Marketing and Design Intern
I assisted with planning, promoting, and documenting the various promotions, campaigns, and events for the department and city golf courses. I communicated with over thirty staff members to gather, organize, design, and produce a 24-page program guide that showcases the department’s programs throughout the city of Lincoln. This tri-annual publication is the departments primary printed piece of publication and distributed over 65,000 editions.
During my time at Parks and Recreation, my supervisor was on a two month maternity leave, so I balanced this major printed project, promoted individual campaigns on social platforms and designed ads, graphics, fliers, and brochures for programs in her absence.
Paint Yourself Silly
As manager at Paint Yourself Silly, I helped to keep things running smoothly in the shop. I maintained inventory, custom orders, and customer relations. I resolved product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and following up to ensure resolution.
I also managed the social media accounts (FaceBook, Instagram) and the email marketing (MailChimp), by developing relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers and creating, curating, and managing all published content and audience responses. Additionally, I designed fliers, product displays, and brochures for the business.
